            a peculiar tale I have to share this day one to enthral and enchant like a spell,
stories I weave like a spider weaves webs, of travels and magick and wonders on the web.


this is a tale you might have heard before but worry not for it might surprise you for what I have in store. a tale of wonder and mystery and spice this is the tale of sugar and spice;


Our little cottage in the woods,
It smells of our favourite things sugar and spice,
They call us the two little witches of baking, our names can you guess? sugar and spice,
Stirring and whisking and baking all day sugar and spice and all things nice,
Treats for girls and boys alike say thankyou muchley sugar and spice,
Halloween comes around again and we disapear cottage and all the ghosts of the smell lingering by Good bye sugar and spice thankyou for the treats and come back soon.

im not very good at this keeping updated thing am I?




ah well live and learn as they say.  just wanted to say a quick hi and let you darklings know I have not abandoned this just going through a rough patch atm had to have a lot of health tests and such


bit of advise to you all this summer. stay in the shade drink plenty and don't forget to eat it will ruin your summer if you don't and no one wants to be ill on their time off from school or those like me that work full time not fun to be ill whilst on holiday or having to miss work because of it

             I apologize that I take so long to update but a full time job coupled with family commitments make little time for anything else to my regret.


Good news however after so long working my black heart into dust I am finally able to continue on my travels of the world to share with you wonderful readers in the WWW ether.

the trials of family

Good morning my blessed Darklings,

           And blessed Imbolc/Lammas to all you witches and pagans in the world (a little late I know).

But on to today's topic.

Now I'm sure many of you are well aware of the fact that sometimes family can be either your best friend or your worst nightmare especially for us of the alternative persuasions.

As the only witch in a Christian family (at least on my mums side) a lot of things can seem to be lost in translation

but despite all the arguments and the miscommunication and everything else I am very blessed cause my family for all their faults they have twice as many good points and I love them.

so for all you precious Darklings who struggle to deal with family and their rules (especially you young baby bats not allowed to wear the dark clothing your little black hearts crave) or those whose family are not like mine I give this saying (which is as true as true can be)

call centre blues and working woes

Good morning my patient Darklings,

                  Alas my dears the tedious droll movements of life have prevented me from regaling you with my adventures and exploits on this rock that we call our home (excepting of course the Gothically inclined aliens hacking our inter-webs of course)

The joys of the call centre in which I work are many but can be far between causing but one reaction

That is right dear readers boredom and if it where not for the joy of being able to plan various exploits around the world so that I may share more with you all I think I would have gone stark raving by now.

but enough moping I want to tell you all about the wondrous things that CAN come from working in a call centre....I know I know you must think me bonkers for even thinking it but there is a point to this trust me.

The monotonous repetition of each days work is the most mind numbing thing in existence I mean its insurance its not meant to be fun but then some one calls up with one of these.

okay okay okay I'm exaggerating just a little but then i am a little bit of a motor head when it comes to these things more like one of these

but these as i say are few and far between but if we do get one you can bet your pretty black lace parasol that the entirety of the building will know about it in 5 seconds flat.

Unfortunately most of the engines we lovingly protect and insure so they can be driven without blue lights flashing in your rear-view are more of this variety or at least that is what they feel like.

I may be exaggerating but WHO CARES this is my blog and I'll do what I want too :D

and lets not forget all the gossip on who's dating who and who's next on the firing line.

wowie I do so love a person in uniform ;)

so back to my main point of the day.  no matter how droll and boring your job may be try to find that little bit of fun in it and make it a magical experience so you can spend all the money you earn on fun things like leather coats and petticoats

Monday: New Job!

• So first day of work is over and I cant tell you WWW. folks how relieved I am I couldnt sleep at all last night due to nerves so I had to rely on coffee and sugar to keep me going luckily it was only paperwork today but after 8 hours (9 if you count the hour before as I got there early) I am shattered I hope all you lovelies are ok and well. lets hope that I can get at least a few hours sleep tonight to survive the next 6am start :)

Tragedy!!!

Good day my Darklings,

      And what a wet, dank and dreary one it is too. I wish I could take a picture and show you the pouring rain from outside my local libraries window for I am sure you would all agree that it is quite calming and beautiful.

However despite all this lovelyness there is a twinge in my little dark heart that I cannot go without sharing for unfortunately I once more find myself looking into the gaping void of unemployment and fortnightly visits to the dreaded Job centre (feel free to shudder in disgust).

But fear not dearsest dark hearts for I shall not abandon thee as I did last november for I shall still be travelling to Prague this coming easter and you shall still be prey to the insights of a the Travelling Gothic Witch in all thy wonderesssnessss.

Introducing:Kaida Fiorii Nighthrone

Good afternoon my precious darklings,

Today I shall be introducing you to the first of my novella's lead creations/characters. Darklings across the globe i present her now to you.

            My Name is Kaida Fiorii Nighthrone. I have only recently awoken as a vampyre princess. my older brother is one of the personifications of death and my sister has been lost to me for eleven painstaikingly long years. 

I practically crashed into this strange group of people known as the star striders and have become tentative allies with most of them. There is a young turned vampyre named Jordain he is infuriating but for some reason even though i hate him unconditionally I cannot bring my sefl to hurt him....he is the first person to ever drink my blood and we are bonded although I ferevently wish that we where not.

My clan is the only form of vampyre that can turn someone through bite alone and that makes us feared and hunted by the evil council of Kalian. Necromancers and villans all of them with their rutheless dark army and spies in every world.

I hunt to find my older twin sister I know she is out there somewhere I just have to find her.

Rumours fly about the prophecy of the blades but that is just a fairytale. Isnt it?

Happy New Year!

Good morrow my precious darklings,

            And a very merry yet belated new year to you all. I am so very proud of all you beautiful creatures out there in the ethers of the WWW for surviving and striving to exist for another full year. And believe me I know that for many of you it is a mountain sized hill of trouble to do this. I send out huge hugs, well wishes and brightest blessings to you all.

On new years eve night I prayed to the God Janus whom this month of January is named after to banish away the darkness and sorrow of my past year keeping only the good and to welcome in all my hopes and good wishes for the new year not just for myself but also for all of you wonderous little Darklings that read this sporadic and frustrating little blog of mine.

2K15 is the year of new hope, fresh ideas, endless discovery and most importantly for me it is the year I begin my proper travels outside the relative safety of family holidays when I journey on to prague this easter time. Additionally I will also be gearing towards the writing and (hopefully) the completion of my first novel (nowhere near ready for editing or print im afraid) and shall be revealling small snippets about and from my characters regarding the Universe I have lovingly created around them and you my wonderous darklings shall be but the first to sample in its intricicy this heartfelt child of my own creation.

With that note I do sleepily bid you all adieu until the next time. Stay safe, be wonderfull and dont let the bed bugs bite for if they do bite them back, Rest well.

Prague here i come!

The Light In the Darkness; Competition!

Dearest Darklings,

       As many of you may know the world is not always as it seems. Friends can turn to enemies, life to death, joy to sorrow and love to hate. But we must be strong for even in the darkest of times there is always light for without light there can be no darkness.

I would like to set a challenge to you all whether you be from America, Germany, Thailand, Israel or anywhere in this big wide world I would like you to take a picture of something that you find truly breathtaking and a light that shines through the greatest of the darkness. email them to me @ ms.lunatgw@gmail.com before midnight of november 1st 2014. The 10 pictures that best depict this theme will be published on this blog along with your name and website details (only if you want to disclose that make it clear in the email).

Additionally after the ten pictures have been posted you my readers can then vote for which is your favourite either through email or comments. voting will end at midnight 21st december and the winner will be announced shortly after. First prize is to have an canvas print of your picture sent to the artist.
Second prize is a framed print.
And third is a printed mug.

writers block and puppets galore

Merry meet my wonderful darklings,

  

              Its here its finally here the best month of the year (and not just because its the month I was born in) October with its halloween festivities and stores filled with stripy tights and sweets and all manner of cheap decorations has arrived at last and goodness knows that I have been running out of patterned tights and skull decorated wrapping paper.

 It is the season to be spooky and you can bet your little black hearts that this month I will desperately try to be more productive.....I know I know I always say that but unfortunately the dreaded writers block has been plaguing my dark soul and i have yet to find a demon or ghoul to shift it or at least fill the gap (anyone know a good voodoo witch doctor?)

Aside from my anguished woes of self motivation and attempting to sell my art (which you can find here) My witchy fingers have been itching to do a little magic and here in the sunniest part of the UK I attended a glorious little festival for both the littlest witches to the maidens, mothers and the other ones (see terry pratchett Carpe Jugulum for that reference ;P ) there was all manner of things to see and do from conferences to shamanic drumming rituals and even a childrens storytime. Now it was quite hard to restrain myself from spending my well earned pieces of paper on all the shiney new wands and charms and books in sight but alas i just about managed it with barely enough to buy a wonderful meal in a local pub. Now this charming festival is called the harvest moon and it meets around this time every year in the magnificent and eclectic city of Norwich's Puppet Theatre (which is well worth a visit any time of the year) so if you ever end up in my neck of the woods ensure you try and check it out along with many of norwiches other splendid attractions which i will be divulging about to you over the next few posts but for now i leave you with this charming picture of the puppets and bid you farewell.

Moving debauchle

Good day my wonderful little darklings,
             
             Ooh its good to be back. So I am most sincerely sorry about the delay in my posting, however, as I am sure you can guess by this post's title I have recently moved house.......well I say recently but it has actually been a few months since I moved. But that is not all, oh no, I have also 'recently' acquired a new job. Which in my opinion is a necessity if you move or else how would you be able to stay in your new house.

Unfortunately I still with my 'rents, that is no issue they are awesome but I know many would think that cause I need a job to pay as mentioned above I would have my own place but it doesn't really work like that...aka I cant afford it the UK is freaking expensive for young people.

''Music review'': Taylor Davis and Adam Hurst

Welcome to my Dark and Gloomy realm of the music of the night my fabulous Darklings,
        Mwahaha..........Okay a bit OTT but I like having fun so there........Anyways (shifts awkwardly) This post I shall be indulging your ears with some spectacular Modern-Classical (as I like to phrase it) in the form of the wonderful Adam Hurst ,who those of you familiar with 2009 Vampire Balls Midnight Waltz will be fairly familiar with, and the glorious Taylor Davis.
Now both of these talented musicians have You-Tube accounts which I myself have recently come to be listening to their inspiring creations very frequently as of late. So let us start with the Magnificent Adam Hurst and his Cello.

Is he not just a wonderful player? As those of you who have read my previous music review post(s) will know I do enjoy listening to Cello players. However that does not mean in any way that I only listen to the Cello, Oh no and as such this is where I would like to highlight the lovely Taylor Davis and her inspired creations of popular game music, movie themes and own creations.

Each of these 2 musicians have unique styles and personalities but they share one very key element. The passion for music. I myself feel that every musician no matter how novice or underrated is truly great so long as they have a passion for what they do and they enjoy it. please go and check these people out and buy their albums if you like them its what helps keep music as beautiful as this turning up every day, year, week and minute.

Valentines;a late post

Good day my Lovely Darklings,
                  This post I shall be regaling to you the wondrous weekend that was my Valentines with my wonderful partner Howard.

I had been planning all week to give him a gift that cannot be priced in anything but love and as such I took a leaf out of Japans book and made him chocolates

The recipe for which I used to guide me in making them can be found here I used very dark chocolate so they act as a treat to be eaten in small doses :) . In return he gave me 2 gifts for which I had not expected and scolded him for spending too much money although I didn't really mind as they where so gloriously beautiful and Anne Stokes is one of my favorite artists

That night he cooked a wonderful meal for me that was absolutely delicious as I have always had a fondness for oriental cuisine topped with a bottle of wine and candlelight it was a perfect evening. The next night we visited the Suffolk food barn for a decadent meal consisting of all locally sourced products such as Norfolk Mussels and Pheasant it was divine although my personal favorite was the desert baked pear wrapped in pastry with honey pecans and ice cream sumptuous and delicious 

I would highly recommend anyone visiting this establishment although be warned it is quite pricey but worth every penny that you spend.
