Reverie Metherlence (aka Ren) hits MCM London

Greetings My wonderful yet silent Darklings,
                       My goodness I'm not very good at keeping up with these posts am I? Oh dear! Well fear not my readers for here i am once more to show you the awesome pictures i took whilst away in London for my 20th B'Day yes i have left my teenage years behind.....its scary 
But its OK cause I spent the weekend with my wonderful Boyfriend Howard. Here we are in our expo cosplays, Photo courteous of Cosplay Portrait

But first a big praise to him for his birthday gift to me was to see the wonderful west end show that has been running for 26 years, can you guess what it is yet?

Well I guess I Kinda gave it away there didn't I ^^. He also got us a bottle of wine and he managed to keep this a secret for 4 i repeat FOUR MONTHS and despite my constant nagging and.....ahem,......begging (of which i know is not very ladylike but ah well i wanted to know) he persisted to not tell me till about half hour before we where due to leave ^^.

It was a wonderful evening and we went to Yo!Sushi for dinner (I love Japanese food so was a real treat)

But we had to get up early the next day for the second highlight of the weekend and that was MCM London Oct 2013.

So here it is my long awaited pictures of the many Cosplayer's at this years expo, unfortunately there are not that many due to my camera not playing ball but what can you do please if you see yourself comment and tell us who you where ^^

This is Halloween

Greetings my faithful patient Darklings,

                           As you all are hyper aware of at this moment of time it is nearly my favorite holiday of the year and few people know this but I am sure you well educated Darklings are is that Halloween was not always known as Halloween but rather as Samhain (it has various pronunciations so don't get your stripy stockings in a twist if someone says it different to the way you do) Also known as the pagan holiday for the dead and dearly departed souls as it is the time of year where the veil between the many worlds is at it's thinnest and makes it a lot easier for our ancestors to come visit and give us that often unwanted advice however it is also a time to celebrate your lost loved ones lives in the full, it is a time for celebration, fun and most importantly Pumpkins. Yes Pumpkins. Those roundish orange squash like fruits/vegetables (does anyone actually know what they are classed as as I,m not sure and too lazy to look up at this moment in time) that appear in Jack,O,Lanterns and pies and all sorts of various goodies for us little Darklings to enjoy and marvel at.

Malaga; a short trip

Greetings my delicious and ever faithful Darklings,
                     Well here we are as promised with the post of my first trip away this year to the 'sunny' Malaga. although the sunny bit was debatable at times it was still a nice if short (only 3 days long) trip to the golden shores of Spain. Well as any traveler will tell you generally the best way in which to find out the best 'tourist spots' i.e. the places people are most likely to visit and are generally recommended to visit is to take the tour bus. yes those of you in the west will have seen these buses everywhere they're big, red and have annoying tour recordings that tell you barely anything just after you've past the attraction that its talking about but here is a picture of it anyway for those of you who may have not seen them before.

and of course no trip to Malaga would be complete without taking a visit to pay your respects to the lady of Malaga herself.

however for those of you artistic types there is an art gallery here that will be sure to get your art senses tingling the very original Art gallery of the great Picasso .

unfortunately for all of us internet sprites of the world photography is strictly prohibited on the site due to copyright reasonings etcetc.

and one last point for this post make sure you visit the main squares dotted around this city as they are filled with little shops cafes and eateries that will make you squee with delight at their lovely goodies so for now goodnight and blessed be i shall see you on the next post ^^.

Arising from the dead!

Good afternoon my dear, faithful, patient and possibly bored Darklings,
              I am pleased to say that after my 'short' hiatus from my blog I AM BACK! So much has happened in the time that I have been absent from your computer screens that I am positively befuddled on where to start with Mabon just around the corner, the concert I have been waiting all year to go to at the end of this week and my 3 count of three trips away I have currently done this year and not had the time to be able to tell you about (I know I'm a very bad travel blogger but meh so long as you enjoy reading it I'm happy even if it is overdue ^^) well as I say there is much for me to tell you about and you to become engrossed in over my next number of posts. I will have haul posts, travel advice posts, places of interest posts and much much more for your little dark souls to digest and enjoy but for now enjoy this adorable picture of a cat called Poppy whom I met whilst visiting my grandmother in Texas blessed be!

1 year running

My dearest Darklings from around the globe,
                  I just came to look at my blog stats today and to think about what to write as my next post when I suddenly realised that I have been writing this blog now for over a year. So I decided that I wanted to use this post to thank you all for watching, reading and enjoying my blog over this time as I allways say I am welcome to any of your questions, comments, criticics (so long as functional and not rude) and suggestions on my posts no matter where in the world you are I want to hear from you my email is ms.lunatgw@gmail.com and you all are welcome to email me at any time. A lot has changed since I first started this blog I have been (and am currently in one) in relationships that ended I have travelled to some places in the UK and I have given you all a breif glimpse into what I do and who I am. I would like to thankyou for your support and I sincerelly hope that it continues as long as this blog runs your veiws inspire me to keep writing knowing that people are reading it. Yer a Wizard 'Arry! (spoiler alert!)

Greetings my precious Darklings,
           as you may have guessed by the title all you potter fans yes thats right i shall be doing a post about the famous Harry Potter but not the films or the books oh no i shall be endulging you little online vampire bats all about the wonders that is the Harry Potter Film Studios ^^.
Witht the illustrious Tom Felton on the recorded guides a rather expensive camera and my family i had a wail of a time.

they used the same beds for every year and they where built for 11 year olds they where tiny ^^
and lastley the castle in all its glory for i do not wish to spoil the rest of the supprises that lay in store for you at the warner brothers harry potter studio tour

if you want a day of a lifetime then i suggest you visit this as it is amazing and wonderful but most importantly magical, no matter where in the world you hail from as long as you are a fan of the boy who lived then this is the perfect attraction for you. i would like to point out now that all pictures on this post where taken by myself thankyou and blessed be!

 

 

RIP Beth-Sempai

Greetings Darklings,
         Today is a very sad day for me as my old penpal Elizabeth McClung has passed away from her terminal ilness on the 29th May 2013. Whilst i am sure she is at peace and out of pain my sypathies and heartfelt wishes go out to her wife Linda who cared and loved her for all their years together.
Elizabeth-san was indeed my sempai as she inspired me to follow my dreams no matter what happens. I first started reading her blog 'Screw Bronze' when i was looking up information on my passion Japan and i saw all the amazing things she did there despite her mobility issues she still had an amazing time. After that i diligantly folowed her blog and then signed up to the postcard project where she sent me 3 beautiful postcards and i sent her letters, emails and parcels to try to make her feel better. She was an inspiration to many and the world is lucky that she strove to make the world that little bit more of a better place fighting for herself and others and making the world just that bight brighter. I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing and i hope that she finds her place in the next world among all the great women of the past because its where she deserves to be.

no Humans involved; Book Reveiw

Good afternoon Darklings,
            And what a cold one it is too. So it seems the perfect time to tell you about a book i have just finnished about ghosts, vampires, wherewolves and occult fanatics with a juicy slice of sacrifice i am of course tallking about the wonderful book 'No Humans Involved' by the wonderfully talented Kelley Armstrong.

The lead character Jaime is a TV and stage spiritualist who has been pushed into the spotlight by her mother from a young age. However she has a secret that her veiwers do no know she is legit and can actually see, talk and even touch the spirits of the dead. as part of the supernatural council it is her job to inform about being a necromancer and often has to call on those talents to aid herself. this story is about sacrifice though, child sacrifice. whilst on a shoot in Hollywood she begins to feel strange touches and whispers in the houses garden ghosts, but not as she knows them, fragmented, drained and trapped.

with the help of a dead dark witch, a demon, a werewolf and a half demon her mission is to free these poor souls and bring their killers to justice in a more permanent way.

Book Reveiw- Dodger

Good afternoon once again my Darklings,
             Today i will be doing a reveiw of the wonderful Terry Pratchets book Dodger. Telling the tale of how The Artfull Dodger came to be with apearences from Charles Dikins, Sweeny Todd and Her magesty the queen.
Through this wondefully told story we follow Dodger as he tries to solve the mystery of a group of Thugs who beat up a woman he saved named by her carers (after she was beaten) Simplicty. Dodger who is a London Tosher of the sewers gallantly protects this woman and does all he can to find the nasty 'cove's' who did this injustice to her whilst ending up being known as a hero due to a series of events hilst he is doing this task.
Set in Victorian England this is a must read for any who enjoy a little fictional historic reading and of course the fans of Terry Pratchet, Charles Dickings and the marvelous Dodger.
